Pastor Randy’s Blog

Pastor Randy Mosher joined the U.S. Army immediately upon graduating from High School in 1974. It was during his first assignment in the Army that he entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Then after serving for 24 years, he retired from the Army to pursue a calling to ministry that God had placed on his heart.

His love of God’s Word and his desire to teach it in a simple and relevant way, eventually led him to offer a community Bible Study on Sunday evenings at the Rescue Hose Company Auditorium in Greencastle, PA. Pastor Randy started by teaching through the Book of Genesis. Attendance at the study quickly grew and within six months, at the prodding of those attending, he began to offer Sunday morning services. The Lord eventually provided a more permanent facility for the fellowship to meet in on the main street of Greencastle. Now, years later, God has taken this handful of believers who first attended the Bible Study at the Fire Hall, and He’s developing them into a vibrant and growing church!

When asked what his vision is for CCCV, Pastor Randy’s response is always the same: “To honor God and to grow the healthiest sheep in the Cumberland Valley!” The “sheep” he refers to is the flock which God has entrusted to his care; and his approach to achieving this vision is simple - “feed them a steady diet of God’s Word - verse-by-verse, chapter-by-chapter, book-by- book!“ Looking back over these relatively brief years of ministry, Pastor Randy will tell you that by the grace of God, this vision is being accomplished! The sheep are growing and they are healthy!

Pastor Randy is married to Cindy, and they have 2 adult children (Megan and Jennifer), both of who are married. They also have one granddaughter (Taylor).
